While the landscape of Death Valley National Park may look inhospitable at first glance, photographic treasures abound for those who wish to take the time to explore. One of the constants in this landscape is change, and that's why I fell in love with Death Valley many years ago. It's a place to see geological forces in action and appreciate the forces that helped shape this landscape. Death Valley remains one of my favorite places to visit and photograph year after year. It's a dynamic landscape to photograph, full of mountain ranges, sand dunes, canyons, badlands, salt flats, playas, and some of the darkest skies in the U.S. for night photography. A part of my heart always stays behind here, long after I've left, and this park remains a meaningful place for me.
